The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, says president Bola Tinubu is mortally afraid of his popularity with the grassroots.
Sowore made this statement on Thursday while addressing newsmen outside the courtroom after the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja threatened to foreclose his defence if he fails to continue his defence.

He was alleged to have made false claims against the person of President Tinubu by referring to him as ‘a criminal’ in a post he made on his X and Facebook accounts.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, the human rights activists said his aim is to provide leadership that can make the country work in every aspect, including the judiciary.

“But we know the big deal. The big deal is that there is an election that is coming. Tinubu is mortally, mortally afraid of my popularity with the grassroots.

“But we are not paying a dime. We are not distributing bread. No soap, no rice, not even bitter cola, no tom-tom, no kuli-kulli or akara.

“People are saying Sowore has come again. That’s what it’s all about. We are here to provide the leadership for this country that can make Nigeria work, including the judiciary,” he said.
