The actress’s association with the ultra-wealthy has often drawn criticism, and recent reports of a proposed dinner with the OpenAI CEO have intensified backlash.
Months ago, Paltrow had sparked a firestorm after featuring in an advert for an Israeli luxury real estate company.

“The event was postponed for the time being because of the backlash. The party likely won’t happen,” the insider told People Magazine.
Paltrow was set to have a one-on-one with Altman at her Amagansett, N.Y. residence. Reports of the “private, off-the-record” al fresco dinner made waves earlier this month. However, fans met it with intense negativity.
The news particularly raised concerns about artificial intelligence dominating Hollywood amid these precarious times.
Comedian Matt Bernstein slammed Paltrow’s allegiance to OpenAI, calling it “technofascism.” Others blasted the actress as “tone deaf.”

The news of the postponed dinner comes after the “Marty Supreme” actress seemingly responded to news of the dinner invite, neither confirming nor denying it.
After copies of the alleged invite swarmed social media, Paltrow took to Instagram to mockingly react. As The Blast reported, she shared five different versions in honor of “M3GAN,” “Samantha Jones,” “SHREK,” “Jessica Rabbit,” and “Chanty Beluga.”
The accompanying caption then playfully read, “We’re serving swordfish burritos, cheddar foam lattes on request.” The upload garnered over 30,000 likes and thousands of comments praising her sarcasm.
Colin Firth Slammed Paltrow For Messy Israeli Ad
4Paltrow is no stranger to controversy after she was called out by Colin Firth’s ex-wife Livia Giuggioli for participating in a luxury real estate campaign.
As The Blast reported, the 53-year-old starred in a promotional campaign for 51 Park, a 51-story residential development located in Herzliya, Israel, about 50 miles from Gaza.
In it, Paltrow went from running in Central Park as part of her morning routine before heading to her destination in Herzliya to unveil two luxury towers overlooking Herzliya Park and Galil Yam Park.
The campaign was interpreted as a clear allegiance to Israel amid the war in Palestine, sparking criticism from Giuggioli.
“Making an ad for a luxury condo is as disgusting as it can be for someone [with] privilege,” Giuggioli slammed. “How detached are you from reality? You’re either so detached that you need to be canceled, because you live in another world, or you’re actually a really, really nasty person, or you are stupid. Which three [are you], Gwyneth Paltrow?”
The Actress Faced Accusations Of Glamorizing Crime
4Months before the campaign, an advert from Paltrow’s brand Goop Kitchen wasn’t well-received after it featured convicted businesswoman Anna Delvey.
According to The Blast, a video shared by the actress’s wellness-focused delivery restaurant showed a close-up of Delvey’s ankle monitor as she answered the doorbell to get a meal package.
“Can’t go out? Don’t be so dramatic,” she said to the camera, donning a white blouse and black skirt with a pair of black heels. Given that Delvey is known for serving more than a year behind bars after scamming organizations and posing as a heiress to pretend to be a part of the elites.
Fans were disappointed that Paltrow’s brand proudly associated itself with a criminal. “So this is… glamorizing crime,” one blatantly wrote.
Paltrow Came After ‘Rich White Dudes’

Slamming the excess accumulation of resources, Paltrow said on a podcast appearance, “How do you think we got to this place in culture where nothing matters and now all that matters is kind of these super-rich white dudes who are breaking rules, setting rules,” per The Blast.
The Hollywood leading lady noted that the billionaires didn’t seem to care about how this negatively impacted everything from culture to health.
