The odds have seriously turned in Steven Tyler‘s favor ahead of his big trial!
Aerosmith’s frontman appears to be heading into his upcoming s-x assault of a minor trial with a significant legal advantage, after securing a couple of favorable pretrial rulings.
Julia Misley accused Steven Tyler of not only s-xually abusing her during their relationship, which began when she was 16, but she also added that he pressured her to get an abortion when she was pregnant at 17.
The rockstar secured a ruling that ultimately restricted what his accuser can argue and what evidence she can introduce as they head into the courtroom for the September 21 hearing.
The latest hearing brought several favorable rulings for Tyler, with the judge rejecting Misley’s attempt to keep evidence suggesting she consented to their relationship out of court.
The court also limited what Misley can discuss at trial. She will not be permitted to bring up the abortion she had during their relationship or allegations of s-xual assault that she says occurred after she turned 18.
While evidence involving drugs and alcohol will be allowed, the judge ruled that Misley cannot characterize Tyler as a s-x trafficker or compare her alleged experiences with him to the Holocaust. As stated by TMZ, the singer and Misley will get to face off in court next week.

In her deposition, Misley went down memory lane about her life before meeting Tyler, saying a woman identified as Pennie groomed her on how to act around the performer.
Tyler’s accuser claimed that Pennie took her to concerts all the time and prepared her to anticipate s-xual gestures and encounters upon meeting with the singer.
Misley continued that Pennie’s guide influenced how she ultimately presented herself when she met Tyler, with revealing clothing and heavier makeup being her signature style. She also admitted to consuming loads of s-xual content with the intention of preparing her for s-xual encounters.
As for Tyler, his account of the event was quite different: he recalled meeting Misley with Pennie and four other girls, after which Pennie introduced the women to him and asked him to choose any he liked. The media personality said he and Misley hit it off, and she sat on his lap while they talked deep into the night.

As shared by The Blast in April, a judge narrowed Misley’s lawsuit against the singer to just one count, with the court citing jurisdictional and statute-of-limitations issues. The judge threw out the allegations connected to Massachusetts and Oregon, leaving the case centered on an alleged incident in California.
Misley had claimed an inappropriate encounter involving the singer, a hotel, and a public tub happened in 1974 during a trip to California. As they proceeded to trial, it would form the bedrock for the case.
As for Tyler’s lawyer, the development was music to their ears because jurors would now have to consider allegations involving just one night from a relationship that allegedly lasted three years.
Misley noted in her 2022 filing that their relationship continued for years, and they progressed to living together and even becoming engaged.

The singer’s attorneys affirmed that a relationship did occur between him and Misley, but it was not an arrangement that lacked consent or violated the law at the time.
As for the judge who ruled on the Massachusetts case, he acknowledged that while the consent may have been legally permissible because the age of consent is 16, the timing of her filing posed an issue.
The judge ruled that the case was filed more than 35 years after the alleged incidents and over three decades after she turned 18, pushing it well past the state’s statute of limitations, which allowed filing within seven years.
Misley had previously claimed that she was encouraged to seek legal action in California by a state law that had temporarily expanded the ages at which adults could file civil suits over any s-xual assaults they experienced as minors.
Misley said her legal fight was to help the industry end a habit of protecting celebrity offenders, promote accountability, and get justice for vulnerable kids who experienced the same fate as hers.

Tyler also previously accused Misley of interfering with his efforts to raise money for a charitable cause amid their ongoing legal battle. The Blast shared that Tyler claimed Misley disrupted a fundraising collaboration he had with Erewhon that was intended to benefit Los Angeles firefighters following the recent wildfires.
Tyler alleged that Misley and her attorneys have deliberately engaged in conduct that could negatively affect the litigation. At the center of Tyler’s complaint is a letter Misley allegedly sent to Erewhon while his charitable partnership with the company was underway.
Tyler claimed the communication violated court orders prohibiting false statements and harmed his fundraising campaign. Tyler demanded that the court sanction Misley $15,000 over the alleged interference.
His attorney also criticized the conduct of Misley’s legal team, arguing that their actions raise broader concerns about the law firm involved.
The lawyer further highlighted what he viewed as a contradiction between the firm’s stated advocacy for abused women and conduct that allegedly disrupted an initiative intended to help people affected by the wildfires.
