Nigeria’s Wealthiest Men And Their Sex Scandals

Three of Nigeria’s wealthiest men found a way to show that, aside from boardroom dominance and power moves, they are also capable of weaknesses for the opposite sex. Nigerian Wealthiest Men

Here, we look at top Nigerian billionaires who faced public scrutiny and felt the impact of a widely publicized affaire de Coeur affair with their mistresses.

Femi Otedola

Nigerian Wealthiest Men

Femi Otedola is the owner of several businesses, that cut across shipping, real estate, finance, and, most recently, power generation. He is currently Nigeria’s fourth richest man.

In December 2016, Otedola, was embroiled in a controversy involving two Toronto-based Indian sisters — Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo.

The sisters were allegedly blackmailing him by threatening to expose Otedola’s extramarital affair. They demanded payment from him and threatened to publish their evidence on a well-known sex-scandal website.

Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo

The sisters were arrested and detained in Lagos in December 2016 for their alleged involvement in cyberbullying and extorting Otedola.

They were apprehended with a laptop containing allegedly recorded conversations and sex romps with over 274 of their wealthy victims, who included politicians, club owners, and business owners, with the majority of them spread across Africa.

Jyoti and Kiran Matharoo have a sizable Instagram following. When all of the sisters’ followers are added together, the total number of followers is around 50,000. It was simple for them to commit these types of crimes due to their massive social media following.

The sisters appeared in Yaba Magistrate Court. They pleaded not guilty and were imprisoned in Lagos.

According to their account, Jyoti met Otedola in 2008, fresh out of university. He took her and Kiran to Nigeria and started an affair with him. They admitted that his gifts enriched them, as did gifts from other wealthy boyfriends, but they denied ever engaging in blackmail or demanding gifts. Nigerian Wealthiest Men

The two girls later signed a confessional statement in which they admitted to many of the allegations leveled against them by Otedola and others.

They agreed to leave the country after their trial in the confessional.

Aliko Dangote

Aliko Dangote is Africa’s wealthiest person. He had an estimated net worth of US$11.1 billion as of May 2021.

Dangote’s relationship with women has largely remained hidden from the public eye. Little was known about him aside from the fact that he had been married and divorced twice. And, of course, there were rumours about his relationship with Sylvia Nduka, the former Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria, in 2015.

However, in early January 2021, a scandal involving two American women broke out on social media. Nigerian Wealthiest Men

It all started on December 31, 2020, when a woman named Bae Lewis, claiming to be Dangote’s girlfriend, posted on Instagram about how heartbroken she is because of Dangote.

” I dated the richest black man in the world. He broke my heart in 1000 pieces”, she wrote.

She also discussed how Dangote influenced her business decisions and helped her become a better businesswoman.

Autumn Spikes, who goes by the Instagram handle @Allarounda1, posted a video of herself having a private moment with the billionaire less than 24 hours later. They were sitting on a couch on board what appeared to be a luxury yacht. She amused the Internet with images of Dangote’s exposed buttocks at one point in the video.

Spikes also shared photos of Dangote standing next to his private jet in a private hangar. Nigerian Wealthiest Men

She also tagged Bae Lewis in the Instagram post, who had previously revealed her relationship with Mr. Dangote. Nigeria’s Richest Men

The scandal did a good job of exposing the billionaire’s voracious appetite for glowing African-American women.

Aliko Dangote later filed a lawsuit in an American court in Miami, Florida, claiming damages for the video’s damage to his reputation.

In the civil lawsuit, which he filed under the alias John Doe, he sought $30,000 in damages. The name also has an alias that says ‘DA,’ which appears to be Aliko Dangote’s initials. Dangote accused Spike of attempting to extort $5 million (about N2 billion) from him in the suit.

Mike Adenuga

Mike Adenuga, Nigeria’s second wealthiest man, made his fortune in telecommunications and oil production.

Forbes estimated his net worth to be $6.2 billion as of 20 July 2021. Nigerian Wealthiest Men

The indigene of Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, is known for his reclusive lifestyle. He rarely attends social gatherings. He is also never involved in negative news, with the exception of a famous brawl with then-President Obasanjo in July 2006.

The Globacom CEO’s squeaky clean reputation took a hit in July 2021 when a video went viral on social media.

In the video, a woman, Nora Olumide Johnson, weeps hysterically as she accuses Adenuga of plotting to seize her home after 30 years of dating him.

Nora, a Sierra Leonean who has worked as Adenuga’s private secretary for nearly three decades, claimed she gave him her life and that he never did anything for her. She claims she has no children or a husband.

The EFCC’s move to eject Johnson, on the other hand, was said to be purely the execution of a court order.

According to reports, Johnson was being prosecuted for alleged misconduct at her former employer, Globacom.

She was accused of inflating airline ticket prices and over-invoicing on vehicle purchases totaling more than N1 billion.

Adenuga also accused her of stealing $300,000 from Worldspan Holdings (one of Mike Adenuga’s companies) that was supposed to be transferred to a Conoil account, but Ms Johnson instead transferred the funds to a different account in China for her own benefit. All of this, according to the claim, occurred between 2018 and 2020. Nigerian Wealthiest Men

The EFCC recovered N507 million from Nora Olumide Johnson and her co-conspirators a few days after the video went viral.
